Vehicle charging is one of the things that new energy vehicle owners are most concerned about. At present, apart from occasional DC fast charging on the highway, home AC charging is still the most commonly used charging method. For new energy car owners, Xiaochong has compiled the following problems that are often encountered in household AC charging:
1 Can I charge outdoors on rainy days?
When the charging gun of the charging pile is fully connected to the vehicle charging interface, the protection level can reach IP55. When it rains slightly, we can safely charge it outdoors. However, in the event of heavy rainstorms, it is recommended that car owners refrain from charging as much as possible. At this time, rainwater may still enter the charging interface and cause insulation problems. Charging will be suspended after the charging pile or vehicle detects insulation problems. If charging is necessary on rainy days, it is recommended to use a charging gun rain cover to cover the charging gun and vehicle interface, which can minimize insulation problems.
5 Are charging piles universal?
Domestic charging piles and new energy vehicles need to meet three standards:
① Charging interface standard: GB20234-2015;
② Control logic standard: GB18487-2015;
③ Communication protocol standard: GB27930-2015.
Charging piles produced by different manufacturers need to meet the above three standards.
Charging piles are similar to No. 95 gasoline. Although companies such as PetroChina and Sinopec produce gasoline, they must also meet the No. 95 gasoline standard. All cars can run normally with No. 95 gasoline. The same goes for charging piles. Except for some low-speed electric vehicle charging equipment, most of the charging piles currently on the market are universal.
06Can electric vehicles be charged without a ground wire?
Leakage and grounding are closely related.
For a properly grounded charging pile, as long as the car body leaks, the leakage current will flow out through the ground wire. If the charging pile has a leakage protection function, the leakage current can be detected and the switch will be turned off immediately to protect the charging system.
When charging using a properly grounded charging pile as shown above:
① Body leakage;
② Leakage current flows out through the ground wire to generate leakage current;
③ The leakage protector detects leakage current;
